A contract between you and Dalvey for the sale of our products will only exist once an order has been accepted, processed, and dispatched. We reserve the right to refuse or cancel an order for any reason.
Prices are displayed in the relevant currency for your region. Payment is due at the point of order. We take reasonable care to ensure that prices are accurate, but errors may occur.
We aim to process and ship orders promptly. In most cases, orders are completed and shipped on the same day or the next working day following receipt of the order. During exceptionally busy periods, there may be a slight delay.
Dispatch times depend on when the order is received, the volume of orders, and whether the item is personalised with engraving. Our team generally aims to dispatch within 1 working day. We will notify you if further delay is expected.
We offer a range of tracked delivery services. Availability and delivery speed depend on the destination country. Options typically include Standard and Express services.
Once your order has been dispatched, it is in the hands of the courier. While we use reputable delivery services and most orders arrive promptly, we cannot guarantee courier transit times. Delays can occur due to factors outside our control, including customs procedures, local delivery issues, or extreme weather. We are not liable for any such delays.
Shipping charges are determined by destination country and order value. These will be shown at checkout. Free delivery may be offered above a threshold specific to your store view.
We ship to most countries but do not deliver to PO Boxes. Customers are responsible for any import duties unless we state otherwise. Most orders to the EU, US, Australia, and Canada are currently Delivered Duty Paid (DDP), meaning duties and taxes are included in the purchase price. However, we reserve the right to withdraw DDP shipping to any country at any time. Should this occur, we will update the relevant shipping information on our product pages and at checkout accordingly.
Many of our orders are personalised with engraving. Our engravers are trained to be accurate and prompt. If they detect a potential error, they will try to contact the customer before proceeding. However, customers must ensure the accuracy of their personalisation details.
For most major markets, duties and taxes are included in the price. For other regions, import charges may apply and are the responsibility of the customer. Customs clearance delays are beyond our control.
In case of non-delivery, please contact us. We will investigate with the courier and take action, including resending or refunding the order where appropriate.
Items may be returned in line with our Returns Policy. Personalised products are non-returnable unless faulty. Contact us promptly with any issues.
To the extent permitted by law, Dalvey shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising out of or related to the use or inability to use our products or website. Our maximum liability for any claim shall not exceed the purchase price paid.
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Scotland. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Scottish courts.

In 2024, Grants of Dalvey Ltd., a Scottish luxury accessories brand, initiated a trademark infringement lawsuit against Dalvey & Co, LLC, a Pennsylvania-based gift business founded by Caroline Espe, daughter of the Fortune 500 director, Mathew Espe. The case was filed in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania under case number 2:2024cv02614.
Dalvey & Co had been operating under the "Dalvey" name for several years, offering gift products through its website and social media channels. Grants of Dalvey alleged that this usage infringed upon their registered "DALVEY" trademark, potentially causing consumer confusion and capitalizing on their long-established brand reputation.
The complaint included extensive exhibits comparing branding elements, product packaging, and online presence between the two companies. Notably, some of Dalvey & Co's marketing materials and customer reviews referred to the brand simply as "Dalvey," omitting the "& Co" suffix, which further blurred the distinction between the two entities.
Initially, Caroline Espe denied the allegations, asserting no knowledge of the Scottish brand and attributing any similarities to coincidence. However, as the litigation progressed—including the requirement to testify under oath, the scheduling of depositions, and the submission of an amended complaint by Grants of Dalvey—the defendants opted to settle the dispute out of court.
The settlement included an agreement for Dalvey & Co to cease using the "Dalvey" name in its branding and operations.
